I made my first photograph when I was 7 years old with a Fisher Price 110 film camera that I got for my birthday. As I grew, my love for photography grew with me.
I fell in love with New York City after a trip here in the late 90's and knew then that I'd eventually leave the small town Ohio lifestyle and move there. After college, I moved to Brooklyn and worked a digital tech for several years. I worked with a wide range of photographers, mostly in fashion, requiring a lot of travel which was how I got to see a lot of the world. That bug has never left me.
Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with food. Realizing I had an eye for what makes food look amazing, I started shooting that almost exclusively. Recently I've branched out into other still life and still shoot the occasional travel story. I also take hundreds of photos of my cats, which i post on instagram way too frequently.
I enjoy a good bourbon in the colder months. Gin in the summer. IPA is my beer of choice. It kind of ruined all other beer for me. The IMAX in Lincoln Square ruined all other movie theaters for me and you can find me there on opening day for any big blockbuster that doesn't suck, if I'm not working.
