My Snapple bottle once told me that there are more french restaurants in NYC than there are in Paris. It’s really not that surprising. Paris is a large multicultural city and with that comes a demand for more than just your typical french restaurant. But in NYC, we love all things french. So when a little place called Buvette popped up in the West Village, it gave us a few things to look forward too – a pastry and magnificently made coffee in the morning, a great place to nosh for lunch, a wonderful place to have a drink after work, and a late night place to prevent a hangover…or make it that much worse.
The chef-owner, Jodi Williams, creates an excellent selection of french cafe fare and curates an ambience rivaled only with a picturesque Parisian pump room…perhaps even better.
